Using Proactive helps to eliminate break outs before they occur, and if you do have a pimple, a great product to use to make the redness fade and the bump recede as quickly as possible is to use the mask that they send you (as a bonus) with your first Proactive kit. It also helps to minimize the size of pores.

expensive solutions abound, I use Queen Helene Mud Pack masque. Find it at your local drug store, discount store, etc... Just dab it on your acne. It will dry up, flake off, or fade away. Just add more. Obviously you will do this at night or when you are at home. Just be diligent with it and you will draw the gross stuff out and the pimple will go away without scaring!

Warm packs soften the pimple and encourage circulation which may allow it to drain and heal more quickly. Applying benzoyl peroxide also speeds healing quite a bit. You might try both: Use hot packs and while they are off and overnight, use the cream.
