According to Wiki Mr. McGraw seems to be a fairly upstanding guy.

The song: My Little Girl, has the following lyrics:
Verse 1:
Gotta hold on easy as I let you go.
Gonna tell you how much I love you,
though you think you already know.
I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm.
You've had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born.

Chorus:
Your beautiful baby from the outside in.
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again.
Go on, take on this whole world.
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl.

Verse 2:
When you were in trouble that crooked little smile could melt my heart of stone.
Now look at you, I've turned around and you've almost grown.
Sometimes you're asleep I whisper "I Love You!" in the moonlight at your door.
As I walk away, I hear you say, "Daddy Love You More!".

(Repeat Chorus)

Verse 3:
Someday, some boy will come and ask me for your hand.
But I won't say "yes" to him unless I know, he's the half
that makes you whole, he has a poet's soul, and the heart of a man's man.
I know he'll say that he's in love.
But between you and me. He won't be good enough!

Does this say what you want to say? The last line might not go over well!

Considering everyone else's answers, this is a pretty popular song. If you are looking for something unique however, this isn't the ticket. You are most likely to get a response that isn't what you expect. Most people having already heard this song played over and over again on the radio will probably have the opposite opinion of what is playing in your head. I would try to go with something a little more unique to your relationship with your father. Don't be afraid to be unique and use a song that is an oldie, classical, new age, whatever your style is. Remember, its about you and your feelings not the impression it is going to make on your guests. If you are going to use a traditional song there are far more meaningful ones that I could suggest. Some Suggestions: What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong Beautiful In My Eyes- Joshua Kaddison Daddy's Hands- Holly Dunn Daddy's Little Girl-Al Martino A Song for My Daughter-Ray Allair Thats My Job-Conway Twitty Good luck!

That song is beautiful. You have to think about your relationship with your father as well. Are you the youngest and/or the only daughter My Little Girl or Butterfly Kisses may make you, your dad, and everyone else cry at the sentiment. If you want that, go for it, if you'd rather skip the crying, than go with something like, "My Girl" or "Forever Young". Whatever you chose, make sure it's special.

I like this song, however, you should consider other choices. If this song fits you and your Father perfectly, then dance to it - it's your wedding. Only you can choose a song that provides an understanding of your relationship with your Father. For me, I chose "Father's Eyes" by Amy Grant.

I think it would be very sweet
when my daughter got remarried a year ago, i have a 14 year old gran daughter and my daughter danced with her to a song called Brown eyed girl by Van Morison, and it was very touching, because she does have beautiful brown eyes. it was not a father daughter dance, but in the same category
