before it got stale u can eat as good as oven fresh hot and soft.!!

I find the microwave-oven very bad for breads/buns/paus. It causes the bread to dry and harden. Try steaming it. The steam will definitely soften it. If you do not have a steamer, just get a porcelein bowl, place it upside down with the bottom up, in a pot. Pour some water into the pot, about 1/4 way up the bowl and set your buns on top of the bowl. Cover pot and bring water to boil and turn heat down to low for 5 minutes.

To refresh old bread, sprinkle it with water, wrap it in a foil and heat it in the oven on 200 ºC for about five to ten minutes!!!

Pau 4 days old starts to have a peculiar stink to it though there is no mold growth. No matter what you do that stink does not go. buy only as much as you need. Stale food is not "Satvik."

Thrash it.
