Wow, I really wish you luck. It really sucks to realize what love is when you already made your choice based on what you were taught love is. I found out (too late) that my defintion of love was twisted, no hard feelings for the past, just ****, couldn't I have figured it out earlier in life. best of it ti you.

Dont get me wrong but chances are that John most likely has moved on with his life and probably got another women in his life, after all even though he said that he would always be there waiting for you, but think he has a life and also have the right to try a relationship with another women sense back then it didnt go as he and yourself wanted, but hey this world is so small that if you really go on a hunt I'm sure you gonna find him.

ok.
I did the opposite from you.
I chose the dependable one and I couldn't be happier.
The fireworks one, interestingly enough, I still have that flame for, that never dies.
But it's just all fun, and like you said, it's not the stars and fireworks. Those things are exciting, fun and ...fleeting.
I knew that one was ALL wrong for me and a BIG waste of time.
He's still a big afraid to commit jerk....good luck with him...;
Anyway, enough about me,
OK, this guy, first off, if he's the dependable guy, they don't stay on the market very long.
I'll bet you any amount of money he's married or in a long term relationship with someone.

Sounds like you are really trying to find yourself. You obviously are confused as to what type of person you would like to be married too. Or perhaps you have picked a time when your marriage is being tested. Try marriage counseling. As far as finding that other guy. What makes you think he would want you back after picking the other guy. Look inside yourself and really think about what you want.

You can always give it try, what's the worst that could happen? Maybe you had a mutual friend who would know how to contact him. There are plenty of places on the web where you can get information on someone for a price, I don't know much about them though.

I'm sorry to hear that. Nothing like realizing that you love that man that you let go off. As I was told, "IF YOU LOVE SOMETHING, SET IT FREE. IF IT COMES BACK IT WAS YOURS, IF IT DOESN'T IT NEVER WAS. I believe in true love, because i did almost the same thing. I also believe that somehow, someway I will find him. We are soulmates.
