I am a Seventh-Day Adventist and a believer of the Christ. To the athiests. What if you just believed? You wouldn't lose anything, maybe your pride if you say firmly that you hate God or don't believe in Him. If we were right you guys who don't believe would be in despair and hate. If you were right we wouldn't have lost anyhthing and the same effect would have been made. The whole point of this is to urge you to believe. Even though it might not sound like I am, I am. Just what if we were right and you were wrong? Just give me your input.

I will believe, as long as nobody tells me how I have to believe or how I have to demonstrate how I believe or how I practice my belief or how I have to jump through a bunch of hoops or how I have to learn a bunch more stuff that I don't believe and say I believe it, or how I have to give 10% of whatever I earn, or how marvellous I am supposed to feel. I will believe just as long as I don't have other believers digging in every corner of my life and telling me what to do, when to do it, and how I have to pose. The reason most agnostics don't want to associate with believers, and atheists refuse to associate with believers is because they are generally an incredible waste of time and a fountain of irrational thoughts. Strictly speaking, it is a great sin to waste life on irrationality and play-acting.

Your intentions are good, but this is a pretty weak argument....try telling non believers what Christ has done in your life...and preach the Gospel!

I don't think that it's right to steriotype the non-believers. While I want them to believe, I don't want them to be brain washed. We can't just tell them hey believe so that maybe you are saved if we are right. It's their free will, God gave it to them so that they would choose him. Hopefully they will, if not today, hopefully they live to see tomorrow.

This is Pascal's Wager. It isn't unique and it isn't effective.

Do you really only believe because of a "what if"?

I think this guy says it best; he's heard of Pascal's Wager, and this is his response to it:

I really doubt you'll be able to convince the atheists.
