There's this guy at my church. I only get to see him once or twice a week, and every time we see each other he kisses my cheek(which only hapens with girls and older guys at my church). He's always staring at me and flirting with me. He already told a mutual friend that he likes me and last time we saw each other he asked me for my number and if he could hold my hand. He's 20 and I'm 16, what do u guys think of this?

Does he know you're 16? He'd better cool his jets for another year or two (depends on where ya'll live). His intentions may be honest, but the fact is, you're under-age (technically). Talk to your folks about it. If they are ok with it, then fine. It's only four years difference, but when a person is under the age of consent, the law doesn't take to kind to it.
Also, what does this 20 year old do away from church. If he don't act very Christian except on Sunday and Wednesday (I'm assuming you're not 7th day Adventist), then chances are (small chances) that he may not be very Christian with you. It's common for an guy in early 20's to like a 16 -18 yr old girl, but it still ain't right by law, and he should know that and not pursue the matter. Like I said, talk to your folks. If they approve, then you two go watch "Open Season" next weekend (or something like that).

Um, if it is a nice, church situation and he is a good boy, perhaps you could date a little on an innocent basis. I don't mean to sound prudish but, test the waters first. You sound intelligent enough to know to be careful on ANY date. Maybe a chaperoned or double date would be good at first. Or, have him over to your parents house. Discuss it with your mother. If he's a good man from the church and doesn't show bad signs, it may be safe to proceed. Honey please don't meet him alone somewhere or accept gifts from him though. Be careful and smart.

He seems like a sweet guy, but I think he is too old for you. Even though 4 years may not seem like a lot, the transition from adolesence to adulthood is major. I think you should wait until you are old enough (18) to be with him, if this is something that you really want. Patience is a virtue, my friend. God bless.

He is 20 and you are 16, not good at all. He must have some problems with liking younger girls. Stay away.. He may be one of those nasty men. I dont think your father or mother would ever approve of it. good luck..

It's not bad, there are others who are worse...like me. I should not say my bf and mine age difference; it's just like yours and your guy's and it is not.
