First be prepared to hand over some cash, fast aint cheap! BUT, if done right you can be running low 10's all day.

Supercharging is the way to go on your modular and there are a LOT of choices out there. Vortec, Procharger, Kenny Bell, all make tried and true setups. You'll want to get heads and cam asap and 3.73 gears in the rear end. Of course a Cold/Ram air kit will also help unleash those 'Ponies' (pun intended) as will long tube headers.

Forums are your friend and there are 1000's of guys that post on these sites with very fast Stangs. Start off with http://www.fuelslut.com to see how it all starts.

It depends on your wallet. I had a 99 GT auto(4R70W) that I took from 14s to 10.90s on the bone stock longblock & pump gas. I wouldn't recommend it because I broke it after 6 months of abuse, but I had a fully built shortblock waiting while I abused it. Anyway, The Kenne Bell blowers seem to be the hot ticket because they are screwtype blowers that will make alot of lowend torque and highend hp. I wouldn't push it past 400 rwhp on the stock hypereutectic pistons, but if you are, make sure you have a built block waiting. Here is my car in MM&FF. I'm the 2nd guy with one of the very few turbo 4.6s in the country at the time. I would do a KB blower, exhaust, drag radials, 3.73 gears, shifter(manual), converter(auto) & good tune That should get your heart pumping and an easy 350-400 rwhp on pump gas.

first off ... mod engines are ok but they are pricey to build and suck to work on. the bores are small and the heads are expensive and the tool to work on the heads makes it not worth it.

there IS NO replacement for displacement. build a man engine. here is how...

go to a junkyard and ask for a good running 460. <$500
buy a scat stroker kit for 545 cid <$1800
then take it to a machine shop and tell them take it 80 over, deck and align hone the block.<$500

screw it together.

use john kaase heads from ford racing.<$1800
a victor intake and a 1050 cfm dominator.<$1300
you are going to want a melling high volume oil pump.

there ya go... at least 700 hp and nearly 800 tq at very low rpm and if you order the right stroker you can spray the bejeezus out of it.

Obviously, it depends on your money situation. Mod motors don't have a lot of options for bolt-on speed (compared to their 5.0 brethern), but exhaust, chip, and gears would get you something. The best route would be supercharging and I would recommend a Roots-type, such as a Kenne Bell or Eaton.

strip the engine down and install as many racing parts that you can find,Then when your done build it strong enough that you can put in twin turbos, after that get a nice big racing rad so the motor can stay cool and don`t froget to install an inter cooler as well! By the time your done you should be making Crazy power!
Ohh and don`t forget a chip and engine management system!

Try checking your local shop or online ...ie. vis racing.com or extremedimensions.com for a borla exhaust, bigger F.I injectors, ecu upgrade, turbo charger, clutch kit( for manual transmissions), Aem cold air intake and so on. The most cost effective way is more air into the engine and more air out.

as much racing parts as u can... maybe a he-mi or supercharger as well... and a manual transmission about 6 or more speed so that way u get more out of the engine as well as better gas mileage
