We used to get into a huge watermelon fight every summer on the last night of camp. It is one of my best memories of my childhood. There were over a hundred people actually in the food fight. There were about 200 people there, but only about half participated.
I was in a cafeteria food fight once in jr high. That wasn't so much fun. I had to be in nasty clothing for half a day. Yuck.

In high school it was normal for a huge food fight to happen 2-3 times a year. It would be really loud and all of a sudden get deadly quiet and you knew that you had to duck. More that 50 kids in the cafeteria at a time it was bound to get pretty messy.

I have never been a huge food fight. i haven't been IN a huge food fight either.
