I met this good-looking guy at the library at school (college) Thursday night. I went up to talk to him, and we talked for a few minutes. It seemed like we were into each other, but he didn't ask me out. The next day I called him to ask him out. He said yes and we made plans to have dinner Tuesday night. He gave me his number (without me asking for it) and I gave him mine. We agreed to see each other Tuesday and didn't say anything about calling each other. I want to call him, but I don't want to seem too agressive (after all I was the one to do the asking out). Should I call him to talk, or just wait until we see each other? I guess I am afraid that he might forget that we have a date. Advice?

i think you should just wait to see him. guys normally don't like when girls are clingy. and if he does forget the date, then he wasnt to into you. but im sure that wont happen :] so good luck with your date!

If he hasn't called by 5pm on Monday, call to make sure he's still coming. He gave you that number (without you asking!) for a reason. Just don't spend forever talking to him. Guys hate it when women run up their phone bills... well, I do anyway, and I'm a guy... When I give a girl my number it's so she'll call me to make sure we're still doing something, and if I do want to talk, it's just because I want to see you more than I can.

Don't freak out if he reschedules (once) either. Just go with it, and call him again the day before. If he reschedules twice, then something's wrong. Once is life, twice is dumped.

Good for you! There's way too many shy guys out there for women to always be waiting to get asked out!

Well, My first instinct is "never call him first"
But I'm just old fashioned I guess.

I don't think you should, personally. It might ruin it for him, he may be wondering the same thing about you.
But if you just want a bit of action or whatever and aren't that into him anyway, sure, what have you got to lose right?

But if you are looking for the "one" I'd say stick with the old time rule and don't call him,
even if it means you miss the date.
Because believe me, you will bump into one another again, and it may be even better, he may ask you out.
In my opinion, women are far too aggressive these days and it destroys EVERYTHING.
Romance is dead mostly because women kill it and don't realise they are doing so.
Men like romance and trust me, they like traditional roles....Men want to take the lead, it's what 'feels' right.
I know the anticipation is killing you, but try not to think about it.

NOT SAFE. do you not pay attention to all those things about people getting raped and murdered? Meeting someone on the internet just isn't a good idea, things could go horribly wrong. BUT If you want to meet this guy, be sure you have a few friend with you and some sort of protection just to be sure.

No, because phone conversations with strangers rarely lead to something good. You want to talk to him in person and develop a rapport.

If you get on the phone with him and say something foolish (or say something that is misinterpreted), it would be easy for him to hang up or back out of the date.
Play it cool.

Wait. You will seem too agressive. Enjoy the anticipation.

Call him and ask something inane, you'll get a chance to feel him out a little better. He probably isn't calling because he's nervous.

Just leave it alone, he already thinks you are hopelessly agressive and desperate, let it flow on it's own
