I have had sleeping problems. I went to my doctor and asked for help...she gave me sound advise on changing my diet and my lifestyle. I sleep better now. I don't use sleeping pills at all. But I do use regular exercise and have acquired a better life style more conducive to getting more and better sleep time. Talk to your doctor...might help you, good luck.

Many things can disturb out sleep patterns. I would look at what you are eating and when. Eating fatty, salty and unhealthy foods before bed can cause problems. Also, so can alcohol. Do you exercise? What is on your mind? If you have problems and can't sleep, talking to a counselor may help. If all else fails, don't take drugs to sleep, very bad for your body. Try natural suppliments.

Hmm...
Well. I'm guessing that you are too hot during the night due to your bed being near a fireplace so you are wondering if meds would help or if you should probably just face the other way ?
Okay yeah I'm going to agree with the others as that answer can never be wrong. Go to your doctor. "ASAP it sounds serious!"
Wtf is with the officer part though I wonder..

take some sleeping pill, but i think it would be better if jogg in the afternoon. Research has shown that a person who exercise 2 hours daily, can have 10 years extra. that means you will be almost free from any sickness.

I would seek counseling.
I assume you are a police officer. I also assume there has been some work-related or other stress in your life.
You need to deal with the stress. A good counselor can help you get started on that.

Go to the doctor and ask for sleeping pills. Let him know whats going on. I took ambian and it was great but it does give you some weird dreams. Xanax works too but its an antidepresent and highly adicting.
