so i'm 28 and my g/f and i broke up last saturday. we hadn't talked all week until last night, she called me. we made some small talk for a few minutes and that was it. so then this morning she calls me again, same basic talk as the night before. then tonight she calls - comes over, all we did was watch a movie (the green mile, which is pretty damn good) then after the movie talked about us i guess, not to many real big things but at least we talked about it, then she went home. i'm all confused and don't know if she wants me back (i got dumped) and is afraid to say or what is going on? any ideas?

she's testing the waters....She's probably thinking she wants you back or she's thinking maybe we can just be friends and hang out.
I wouldn't ask her straight out if she wants you back. You may come across as desperate if she knows you still want her. Play it cool so you will be able to see her true intentions before getting back together in a relationship. Just hang out with her if you enjoy her company when she asks if you guys can hang out. You also need to hang out with your friends, pick up a hobby, go out, etc so that you are not constantly thinking about her or the situation.
If she wants you back, you'll know it because she will either ask or you guys will start acting like you're a couple again.
If she asks- I hope you evaluated what went wrong in the relationship and whether or not it is worth gettting back together. if it is you need to find out what went wrong so it is not repeated by either of you.
If you guys go back to acting like a couple but haven't discussed anything -both of you need to have an honest discussion on whether or not you truly are a couple and if this is something you both want

What you say may well be the case. She could feel guilty for dumping you, or that she is just lonely. If you've been together for a few years, it may likely be the latter. You've been there for her for a while, and now she has nobody there with her.
Ask her straight out.
It may simply be that she dumped you because she was confused about how she was feeling, and didn't know what else to do. Either that, or she wants to remain friends, so is working out all the kinks so that you two won't have another fight or feel awkward because you have dated.

I think she just wants to be friends is all. Take it slow and then when you get comfortable enough talk to her about it. Personally, I think she knows she made a mistake breaking up with you. She wants you still.
