I'm in the southern cali area and all my friends have their own little commitments tonight on this satuday night. So what i can do tonight that involves me getting outside of the house and venturing or exploring...having a good time...sadly, by myself for the evening?

Go to a resturant/bar type place. maybe a tgif friday's or applebee's. the crowd is pretty mixed and there maybe be others in your situation too. These restaurants usally have a bar area where you can watch tv or listen to music. you can get a drink ( meaning just one since your rolling solo and you will not have a sober driver after maybe two drinks) anyway you can also grab a bite to eat and I am sure you will not fell out of place.

dont say "sadly by myself" when you say that you are setting yourself up not to enjoy being out.
You can go to restaurants, movies, find a bookstore that is still open and look for books and listen to music. You can go to coffee shops, you can go for a drive and check out all the sights downtown if you are near a big city.
Cheer yourself up if you intend to go out.
You might meet people!

start thinking about living your life for yourself, not measuring up to what others are doing. Who said that it has to be sad just because you are by yourself? there are so much more you can do than just going out and get wasted(what do you think every one of your friends are going to have a constructive kind of fun?)
