I just got a pedometer, and want to lose weight. How many steps do I need to take per day?

Try for 10,000 right now, and work your way up to about 12,000 or even 15,000 if you are really enthused! You would be surprised how many steps you need to take! A good hour walk a day will keep you up to 10,000. I do about 12,000 a day, and thats tough! 5000 steps = one mile. But be sure though to start slowly and work your way up in distance. Try to include resistance training and follow a healthy food lifestyle to help with weight loss
