Wow hard question ... the other two answers thus far really have me worried though :( i guess i would just be there and try to listen ??? maybe remind him that its all in the fathers will and how many people he was going to save as a result .

I comfort him the way he told me to. By comforting the sick, the hungry, the naked and the imprisoned. All you want me to do is pray. How does that do the work he asked us to complete?

"Whatever ye have done unto the least of mine, ye have done unto me." I think Jesus has asked us to simply be available to the person standing in front of us at the moment.....that is comforting Jesus.
