I had blond hair but have the skintone to pull of any color except black.I was getting my hair dyed today for the first time & I said I wanted it brown but the woman accidentally made my hair red.The popular girls all hate me @ school but they dont know me.My mom thinks its jealousy + the fact that I act like I dont give a crap if they like me or not.Well I know theyre gonna laugh & stuff @ my hair but what do I do when they laugh? Serious answers only please.

I have red hair and got the comments when I was in school. Your Independence bothers them I'm sure. When I got older, everyone complimented me on my red hair and still do almost weekly. Now this is not really about hair color, there are people that will have a problem with you no matter what you do. These girls are doing you a favor by not being your friend. You don't need friends like that, who are always looking to stab you in the back. The best thing that you can do is what you are doing, keep not caring and don't ever be afraid to stick up for your self or someone else they may be giving a hard time to. They are intimidated by your strength and are looking for a weakness that you can't ever show them. From my experience, half of these girls will have kids while their still in school and will make themselves miserable most of their lives. Someday you will be older and when you hear stories about these girls, and they wont be good ones, you will just raise an eyebrow and remember all the crap they gave you in school and feel a little self satisfaction that what comes around, goes around. Stay strong and independent, it's your best weapon.

What makes you so sure they're going to laugh? What's funny about red hair? Lots of girls have red hair and it's beautiful. Maybe your mom is right, and they're just jealous. The thing is, do you want to make friends with these girls, or do you really not care one way or the other? I kinda think maybe you do care, and deep down, wish you could be friends. Either way, though, you're probably a very attractive girl, and your red hair will only enhance that beauty. If you don't like the color, you can always dye brown over it, or let it fade to your natural color. Meantime, don't ever think that anyone is judged by the color of his or her hair. Walk tall and be proud of who you are. Meantime, make friends with girls who are not so popular. You might find that they will make much better friends than the so-called popular ones. Good luck!

look, I'm thirteen yet, i am a jock. i am an Indian, oil my hair and wear it in a tight braid. i wear nothing but Capri, hate jeans and love long loose t-shirts. until now every one used to hate me, but now slowly all my fellow 7Th graders start to appreciate me for not being poser. be yourself and it will pay off! Also it's not e outside that matters, but the inside! Shine through!
