well i been live in california... for 8 year and i have not see my mom for those 8 years....and each year... her birthday come and i can't not talk to her. because my dad would not let me talk to her...that make me feel like i want to kill my self and now that i'm 17 years old...i don't know what to do? because i can't talk my mom and i don't now have she looks.....right now...i feel like i want to cry because it came from my heart what i'm tell u.....so i don't know what to do? why does my dad let me talk too my mom?

Sounds like your dad is trying to protect youin some sort of way. Perhaps he was so scourned by her that he thinks she will do the same to you, thus not letting you have contact with her. Perhaps he feels you are better off for some reason. Either way, a young woamn needs contact with her mother , no matter what the circumstances. Try to call her behind his back if this really bothers you...i.e. get a calling card or call from a friend's cell etc.

Can you hang on 'til you're 18? When you get in touch with your mom, you'll know why your dad held back. Meanwhile, if youi know where she is, get a photo cellphone. Better yet, talk to her on one of your friends' cellphones if you want to make sure youre dad doesn't find out. Another thought: Keep a journal / write letters to her, so that when you come of age, she'll know how much you were thinking about her. Remember, this moment is not the same as "forever." You and your mom can catch up, make up for lost time later. Right now you've gotta survive to adulthood. Hang in there, and be someone your mom will be proud of!

Have you tried to find your mom on the internet whitepages & call her? Does your dad have a number for her & just won't let you call? What about your mom's parents or other family?
I don't know the situation, but there has to be a reason your dad doesn't let you talk to her. Either she's not a nice person or he's afraid you will leave him and go live with her and then he won't see you or talk to you for 8 years.

That pisses me off big time kid!!!!!! Your dad has no right to let his difference between he and your mom to stop you from having a relationship with her. I don't know what happened between the two of them, but my guess is that his not letting you see her is his way of sticking it to her. Unfortunately, he doesn't realize that his daughter is really getting hurt in the process.
Sorry about not being able to talk to your mom all these years. Come next year, you'll be 18, and he will have no right to stop you from calling her. I hope you and she have a very happy reunion soon!! God bless ya kid!

What makes you think of which you're a gay? Did an older gay arise with you? You youngsters are too youthful to be making such judgements. intercourse is intercourse and it feels solid regardless who it is achieved with. It could be many reasons why your dad does not want you to talk to your mom. I hope they are ligament reasons..not because he is holding you as a token of some sort against her. But, is there another relative you can talk to about your mom?..an aunt maybe?..Someone you trust who you can talk to about your feelings and maybe figure out why your dad is doing this. Have you talked to him truthfully how you are feeling?..
Do you have a spiritual person you can talk too..(if that helps)

If you have your moms number... get a phone card and call your mom... parents sometimes can do stupid things for no reason other than they think they are right... even if your mom had been bad to your dad in the marriage doesn't give him the right to stop you from having at least a phone converstion with your mom... once a month would be reasonable... I would sneak and do it on my own... you'll soon be 18yo and he won't be able to stop you from even going to she her... don't be sad and don't give up...

I myself have been EXACTLY where your mom is and my daughter where you are. for 9 years my ex told my daughter that i did not want her or love her. and he refused to let her speak to me..
here is what heather and I did for the years we were apart.
get a large notebook( like a 5 subject one) and everytime you have a thought,have a question you want to ask her or you simply want to just tell her you miss and love her, put it in the notebook.
BELIEVE ME ITS A TREASURE YOU AND SHE BOTH WILL FOREVER CHERISH.
