if it's a tension headache a hot bath and massaging of the forhead from the center outwards.
if its a hangover drink a couple of glasses of water to help re-hydrate you.
if it's a caffeine headache, again drink water not tea or coffee - it will still hurt like heck though. painkillers often have caffeine in them and will do more harm than good anyway
if it's brain freeze from eating too much icecream or icepops have a hot beverage and wear a hat
if it's a hayfeaver/congestion headache inhale some olbas oil or vics in a steam bowl or have a hot bath.
if its the beginnings of carbon monoxide poisioning get the heck out of the building and call works.
if its caused by eye strain get off the computer and go lie down
if it's tiredness headache go take a nap
If it's a migraine take drugs and lots of them then lie down in a dark room and pray for the eternal suffering to finally end.
If it's a head wound, seriously go to hospital and take whatever drugs they give you.

there's only one hope for depression. That is an effective anti depressant medication. Depression comes from a checmical imbalance in the neurotransmitters and the brain and nothing in the world will alleviate unless you compensate for it. The right medication will do it. When you're depressed, you're unable to interact with a therapist by talking or be with or around anyone so talk therapy won't work. Being around people is a waste because the loss of interest makes it difficult to tolerate company and again, verbal interaction. You will have no desire for pets or taking care of animals as it's too labor intensive, too complex and your mind can't handle it. Excercise requires motivation which you have none. Until you can compensate for the chemical imbalance that's causing the depression and anxiety, none of these suggestions are useful.. Once you regain your sense of motivation and desire to do things, only then can any interaction or activity possibly help feel good.. There are ssri's, snri's mao inhibitors and trycyclic anti depressants. Some work better than others depending on the individdual. It is frustrating until you find one that works well with tolerable side effects. If none of these are ever an option, try ect (shock therapy)l

Well wouldn't that depend on the source of the headache? A sinus headache will fade when the sinus pressure is relieved.
An alcohol headache will clear with time, hydration, electrolyte replacement and a good night's sleep.
A tumor headache will come and go until it does neither any longer.

Drink 8-oz of water. Then 10 minutes later, drink another 8-oz of water. Some times headaches are caused by a slight case of dehydration.

well i get really bad migraines and have to take "drugs" for it, but what helps until they kick-in is lying down and closing my eyes in a dark room and placing a warm washcloth over my eyes and forehead area- it usually helps reduce the severity of the headache. Drinking room temperature water or warm decaf tea may help you too. (caffeine is technically a drug) GOOD LUCK!!!

You can take the herbal supplement called white-willow bark, 1 to 2 500mg capsules up to 3x's a day. Pure pepperment oil rubbed on your forehead and temples can help as well.

Try a cup of warm, decaffinated green tea with a teaspoon of honey. This has worked for me for years. Good luck. "honey"!
