God never intended for the masses of humanity, or the masses of Christians for that matter to "understand" what he is doing with us right now.
You're right; if he did want us to understand everything- it would be pretty simple wouldn't it. But it's not. In fact, most Christians don't have a clue as to what the Gospel is. But if you understand that there is a huge difference from the Bible and the scriptures, then you'll see that there are a lot of mistranslations.
Beyond that, most of the Bible is symbolic and can't possibly be taken literally.
Jesus Christ said that HE IS HIS WORD. Everything in the Bible was spiritually inspired to be written by God. Every word in the Bible was written by God, and it is purposely confusing. Do you think the secrets to existance can be seen by the opening of a book? If you're not willing to spend your life searching, then you don't deserve the truth.

That is a very good question. But i have to believe that it has something to do with free will for GOD not making a bible, because the bible makes predictions and everyone is entitled to their beliefs of what is going to happen in the future and what has happen in the biblical times. As for Jesus not writing his own words, I am not really sures.

God can do whatever he please and he inspired writers that perhaps did not know how to write to inscribed his sayings. Now God wrote the ten commandents did he not. That is to say he could have done it all. Never say what God cannot do. Christians debate cause they try to figure God out without salvation and his holy spirit, reasons being why they do not take the bible serious. Jesus was definitely educated and not illerate being the reason you are educated to a point.

He had the 4 apostles to write his word for him. Theologians and scholars believe that the bible is a series of stories inspired by God to teach us morality. However, there is some evidence that many of the stories in the old testament were based on reality; e.g. evidence of a major flood.
It is extremely unlikely that Jesus was illiterate considering that he went to the temple of the rabbis & argued theology with them.

A lot of men contribitated in writing the Bible, but the Holy Spirit was the one telling them what to write. The Holy Spirit is God. :)
