My friend has a tumour at one of her kidney. Doctor say no sign of spreading. But surgery is recommended. In the meantime while waiting for surgery, which is about 1 motnhs later, what should she be paying attention to? is there any food or herbs that she needs to take so she could recover faster after surgery?

Please be careful with the herbal stuff. Quite a few herbs have anticoagulant properties which can lead to increased bleeding with surgery.

A healthy diet, prudent exercise and following her doctor's advice is the best course.

Eating a low fat healthy diet should be plenty. A major factor in recovery is the love and support of friends and family and it looks like your friend has that in you. Keep being supportive and being there for her and she will do fine.
