My 19 month old boy was diagnosed with iron dificiency. His Fe value was 38 and his Hb value was normal.

Hi there, I don't have an answer for you. I just wanted to let you know, been there done that. My daughter had EXTREME iron deficiency anemia from 15 months to 2 1/2 years old. We tried everything to get her iron up. It is VERY hard to get a toddler to take a vitamin OR eat broccoli! After battling this for a year, we finally had to take her in for iron infusion through an iv. Very traumatic...I'm not telling you this to freak you out. Just want you to know what you're in for. Please feel free to email me if you need a shoulder to cry on. You're in for a rough time. Be strong for your son. Go make him some broccoli! LOL ;) Nichole
