Sounds like me when I was a kid. I was the last one in the neighborhood to realize that Santa was a myth. I see nothing wrong with the fact the your child still believes in Santa but I would try to start downplaying the Santa thing so that he hopefully realizes on his own that something is not quite right about the whole santa thing. I worry more about him being teased by classmates or friends that find out he still believes in Santa.

If you believe in Santa, you get more presents. All kids know this. :)

At a certain point, Santa stops being "the big guy in the red suit", and starts representing the spirit of Christmas.

Oh, I'm sorry, is there an age to stop believing? I'm 50 years old, and I believe in sooooo many things which make me happy, mostly because I don't "care" if other people think I'm odd for believing! I'ts great to have things to believe in. Just look at what's happening to our world. I can't imagine this world, without a Santa! Leave it up to him, okay?

why would you want them to stop, it seems like when they do stop believing is when they seem to grow up over night, I would let them believe as long as they wanted . My daughter is 9 and still believes. When she asks is there really such a thing as Santa, I ask her if she thinks there is. She says yes, and I tell her as long as she believes there is one then there is. And I actually met a man in Florida that legally changed his name to Santa Claus, So see there is such a person as Santa!!!!

Wrong?? Forget what ur friends think! Why burst his bubble?! Gosh do u remember how wonderful it was to really believe in all that kid stuff. Let him enjoy the magic of childhood as long as he can/wants to! We all grow up way too fast.
