Gospel According to Saint Luke
Chapter 8
5 The sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And other some fell upon a rock: and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. 7 And other some fell among thorns, and the thorns growing up with it, choked it. 8 And other some fell upon good ground; and being sprung up, yielded fruit a hundredfold. Saying these things, he cried out: He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9 And his disciples asked him what this parable might be. 10 To whom he said: To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to the rest in parables, that seeing they may not see, and hearing may not understand.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 And they by the way side are they that hear; then the devil cometh, and taketh the word out of their heart, lest believing they should be saved. 13 Now they upon the rock, are they who when they hear, receive the word with joy: and these have no roots; for they believe for a while, and in time of temptation, they fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns, are they who have heard, and going their way, are choked with the cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and yield no fruit. 15 But that on the good ground, are they who in a good and perfect heart, hearing the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit in patience.

The Bible is authenticated by internal and external evidences. Even archeology has many times over verified Scriptural facts which others had long denied.
As for the "Hail Mary" ... though I am not a RC, I think the problem mostly is in change of languages .. probably from Latin to English? Originally, isn't Mary described as the "God=bearer".
Theotokos is a compound of two Greek words, θεÏÏ "God" and ÏÏÎºÎ¿Ï "parturition, childbirth." Literally, this translates as "God-bearer"
So, the nine months when she was waiting for Jesus birth, during those nine months God was within her in a very special way.
How could the Eternal God dwell in her womb?
Well, another time God dwelt on the lid of a box ... when He dwelt on the lid of the Holy Ark, between the (representations of the) Cherubim.

white bear,
Your question would be better as a question addressed to Roman Catholics. Protestants do not pray to Mary. And they would agree with you that they are in error that Mary was the mother of God. This does not mean that the Bible is fiction. It merely means that Protestants pay attention to what the Bible says more.

First off, the Bible is an accurate historical account. There has been nothing found in archeology or other reputable writings to dispute this. It is inerrant in doctrine, history and ethics.
Second, Mary is never called the "mother of God' in the Scriptures. If you can find a verse, please quote it.

cuz its not fictional! Its true. Just cuz it was written by man, it was inspired by God. He gave those words to each of the people who wrote the books. It fact. Why is it the only book that was carried for centuries and more centuries without being added or changed except in translation for people to understand it better? How could it have it satyed for so long? BY GOD'S POWER!!!!!!!!!! He made sure for His book to be passed down for years and years!!!!!!!!!!! Give me a reason besides that stupid one of it being written by man for why its fictional.

it depends on whether you believe in the trinity
the idea that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one person
it is a mystery that no one can explain - but, the analogy of the sun and sunlight is used sometimes to explain this
the sunlight is made of the same substance as the sun

Are you seriously expecting anyone with any degree of intelligence to accept the fact that the 'story' of, for example, Adam and Eve, is anything more than a simple story (aka a lie)

i think alot of people have a hard time believing in the bible because it was first written by the apostles not that anything was wrong with them it was just the interpretation of the facts
then by a king who for what ever reason decided the bible needed to revamped
go figure
jesus should have written his diary himself
