A mild boric acid solution that is made for washing eyes is probably the best. You should be able to get this at a pharmacy. It will be labeled for that use.

Warm water--and I would use distilled--could also be very helpful. What you are doing is creating a substitute for tears, which will normally clear the foreign object away.

If you cannot rinse the foreign body in the shower after 10-15 min, you should seek care at urgent care or ED to remove foreign body.
Also these appliances generally are not sterile. You may be instilling more bacteria. Generally not advised unless recommended by your MD

You have to use a saline bath/wash. you can buy these from any chemist. put some int he bath and then wash your eye with it. the pharmacist or the shop assistants should be able to explain this to you

You need to use Sterile Saline Solution or Sterile Water.
In EXTREME cases you can use regular tap water.
