I'm fourteen and some of my friends have been talking about having "random hookups" and i'm just wondering how that happens. How does something like that start? Like my friend has this guy she calls her f*ck-buddy (they don't actually have sex--just make out) and she doesn't know him very well at all, so I just don't understand how an "arrangement" like that starts.

if someone's just going to give me an opinion about how my friends should have "random hookups" or "f*ck-buddies" then i don't want to hear about that because i already know that. I'm just wondering how that would start.

Hormones are ranging, you're hanging out alone with a guy, sometimes it just happens.

The thing is, you need to know where to stop. Otherwise you'll end up doing something you'll regret.

Most people don't meet people randomly because it's awkward and often difficult. Some people can do it because they're very outgoing and communicate well with new people. I'm guessing you're a little shy (nothing wrong with that), so it would be more difficult for you. Remember, we all have different personalities. What works for a friend (in any endeavor) may not work for us.

It just happens... if you're attracted to someone and alone with them, at least 90% of the time, at the very least, you're gonna make out with them. but as for your friends... there's a very probable chance that they're making it up to seem cool

You don't need to know about that. If you have integrity, you do it the good old-fashioned way. You're young. Take time to know a guy before you bed him.

It starts when two people are attracted to each other, but don't want to be bf/gf. It allows both people to relieve some tension.

You get 2 people in a room together, and let them go at it.
