Jesus said he would return for Judgement Day before his disciples died...they are long dead and Jesus didn't return.
Matthew: "16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 28 Verily I say unto you. There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom (Judgement Day)."
Mark: " 8:38 Whosoever therefore be ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. 9:1 And he said unto them. Verily I say unto you. That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, til they have seen the kingdom of God come with power (Judgement Day)."

You are making Jesus tell a lie but it is you that is trying to prove something that you wish to make up. Matthew 16: 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. The verse says that that some standing there would see death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Matthew 17: 1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, Matthew 17: 2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Peter, James, and John saw him six days later where He was transfigured before them and He told the true when He said that some would not see death until they saw him coming in His glory. So go make up anther lie.

The Book of Numbers 23:15 God is not a man that he should lie, nor the Son of man that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
The first lie he said is that He is the Son of God and that He and the Father is one.
He did not lie in Matthew 16:17 ...He was not telling that because the Son of man he is talking about is his counselor not him.
John 16:5-8 Now I am going to him who sent me, yet none of you asks me, "Where am I going? because you are filled with grief. But I tell you the truth. It is for your good that I am going away, unless I go away, the COUNSELOR will not come to you; but if I go, I will SEND HIM to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt. in regards to sin and righteousness and judgment.
Revelation 22:16 "I, Jesus, HAVE SENT my angel (counselor) to give you this testimony for the churches, I am the Root and Offspring of David, and the BRIGHT MORNING STAR".
Isaiah 14:12 How have you fallen from the heaven, O MORNING STAR, son of the dawn (dawn stands for young or virgin). You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations.
In King James Version and Latin Vulgate the word MORNING STAR is written as LUCIFER whom we were all taught to believe was Satan or the Beast or the Anti-Christ.
Isaiah 14:16-17 Those who see you stare at you they ponder your fate; Is this THE MAN who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble, THE MAN who made the world a desert who overthrow its cities and would not let captives go home?
Satan is never a man but he is deceiver of man and Jesus was his victim and so are we...Read the whole chapter of Isaiah 14 and you will find that Jesus body was really taken (cast) out of the tomb and go to this website...www.thename.ph

You are mistaken, Jesus did not lie.

When Jesus told his followers: “The Son of man is destined to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will recompense each one according to his behavior.” (These words would be fulfilled at “the conclusion of the system of things.” or as you say Judgment day) Jesus further stated: “Truly I say to you that there are some of those standing here that will not taste death at all until first they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.” (Matthew 16:27, 28; 24:3; 25:31-34, 41; Daniel 12:4) The transfiguration took place in fulfillment of these latter words.

Exactly what did the three apostles see? The following is Luke’s description of the event: “As [Jesus] was praying the appearance of his face became different and his apparel became glitteringly white. Also, look! two men were conversing with him, who were Moses and Elijah. These appeared with glory and began talking about his departure that he was destined to fulfill at Jerusalem.” Then, “a cloud formed and began to overshadow [the apostles]. As they entered into the cloud, they became fearful. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying: ‘This is my Son, the one that has been chosen. Listen to him.’”—Luke 9:29-31, 34, 35.

The vision of Jesus transfigured was a foretaste of Christ’s coming in Kingdom power and glory, eventually to judge mankind. More than 30 years after the transfiguration, Peter wrote: “It was not by following artfully contrived false stories that we acquainted you with the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, but it was by having become eyewitnesses of his magnificence. For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when words such as these were borne to him by the magnificent glory: ‘This is my son, my beloved, whom I myself have approved.’ Yes, these words we heard borne from heaven while we were with him in the holy mountain.”—2 Peter 1:16-18; 1 Peter 4:17.

(Judgement Day added by who? not in that text.)

Are you sure you are not confusing what He said with what you think? Both passages you quote are when Jesus is foretelling of His death. On Easter morning when He arose from the dead, His kingdom had become a reality. Other than Judas, the disciples He spoke to were all alive and realized His kingdom was true. While I applaud your effort to read the Bible, maybe you should not look for ways to pick it apart, but for the Truth that it contains.

Hello free t, I hope all is well with you this evening. When you look at the context of both sets of verses we see Jesus is speaking to the Apostles. The reference of "till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom" is not refering to judgment day. It is refering to the time when Christ would assend into heaven and the Apostles would recieve the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was talking about a physical death for the Apostles and not judgment day. I hope the link below helps

Mark 16:19-20 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. [20] Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

Luke 24:45-53 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. [46] He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, [47] and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. [48] You are witnesses of these things. [49] I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." [50] When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. [51] While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. [52] Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. [53] And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.

Acts 2:1-4 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. [2] Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. [3] They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. [4] All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Hope this Helps and God Bless,

Chris

Verily I say unto you ... - To encourage them, he assured them that, though his kingdom was now obscure and despised - though he was cast out and little known - yet the time was near when he would be regarded in a different manner, and his kingdom be established with great power.
This cannot refer to the end of the world, and there is no need of referring it to the destruction of Jerusalem.
Taste of death - That is, die. Before they die they shall see this.
Son of man coming in his kingdom - Mark and Luke have explained this: Mar_9:1, “Until they have seen the kingdom of God come with power;” Luk_9:27, “Till they see the kingdom of God.” The meaning evidently is, “till they shall see my kingdom,” i. e., my church, now small, feeble, and despised, greatly enlarged, established, and spreading with great rapidity and extent. All this was accomplished. All these apostles, except Judas, lived to see the wonders of the day of Pentecost; some of them, John particularly, saw the Jewish nation scattered, the temple destroyed, the gospel established in Asia, Rome, Greece, and in a large part of the known world.

There was no deception here, just your misunderstanding of the text.

You have totally misquoted it.
Jesus said, "Some who are standing here will not taste death until they see the kingdom of heaven." That is not judgment day.
This in Luke 9: 27
Luke 9:28
"About eight days after Jesus said this he went out to the mount of olives..." This was the mount transfiguration. where Moses and Elijah stood and talked to Jesus in front of peter, john, and James.
Moreover you could say that the apostle John saw judgment day hence revelation.

He wasn't talking about judgment day. If you continue reading, you'll notice that a few of the disciples saw Jesus transfigured. His face shone like the sun and His clothes were white as snow. They saw the kingdom of God come with power. (Matthew 17:1-2, Mark 9:2-3)

How do you define death? According to Christian theology death is the process of going through purgation before entering either the kingdom of Heaven or the lake of fire. If by taste of death Jesus meant purgatory then maybe the apostles are still in Limbo or in a waiting list.
