run daily with leg weights, do a lot of jump rope with leg weights, walk with leg weights, eat, sleep, and go to work/school with leg weights. jus always keep them on, and u could jump over a house if u wanted to.

The best way to increase you vertical jump is plyometrics it really works but it takes alot of work on your part. If you live in a warm climate playing in the sand helps alot and running in it. but after you stop playing in the sand or training in it your jump will decrease unless you do other training like plyometrics. But there is no gaurantee you will get 10" of vertical , i had a 32" to 36" vert but it was part god given and part hard work. some people are just born with more fast twich muslce than others and that is what makes up your jumping and quickness. I used to play for alot of years and it is a fun game but it took it's toll on my body now i just like to watch mostly ,but good luck with your training.

Do calf lifts on a corner (like a concrete step). Keep your toes on the corner, and let your heels go below, then push up as far you go. In other words, only the front half of your feet will be on the surface, and the back half or your feet (your heels) will go below and above the surface. Hold some weights in your hands, or wear a backpack with some weights in it. Work out hard, then wait at least 2 days to do it again.

Something that I used was a shoe called Strength Training System Strength Shoe - they are kind of dorky looking, but work well. I used them over a summer and it increase my vertical by of 6 or 7 inches. They are a little expensive, little over $100 (I think) but worked well.

10 inches is a big goal but the key to a good jump is timing, mark a spot on a wall that you would like to reach keep jumping in front of the wall marking it with a piece of chalk every time you jump pretty soon you will figure out how to bend your knees with arms back then swinging them forward to increase your momentum thats how I trained for 15 years playing in Florida

Most exercises that strength you legs will help your vertical. Here are a few squats, lunges, running stairs or hills, legs press or ankles weights (wear them doing walking).

when i played basketball i would do a very simple but effective exersice to increse my jump. all you do is stand on one leg and keep your knee bent for a period on time. i started with one minute you might be able to do more. figure out a good amount of time (you'll know) and do two sets (twice per leg alternating) twice per day every other day. the more you bend it the better it works. good luck.

Running up and down stairs helps a lot...insanely well. step ups are good too. basically anything that has the similar motion to jumping.
