I would think that the reason for the fever would matter. Generally, I would think no, you would need to rest. There may be some instances when a short, non-vigorous walk in the air would help, if you feel like it, perhaps with a mild viral infection.
I've never heard that "walking off" a fever was a good idea. I've heard that sweating one out by going to bed under a lot of covers can help (aids the fever by raising your body temp so the bug is killed faster). Ask the health practitioner you have the most faith in.

Have never heard of that and all my searaches turned up nothing on walking in getting rid of a fever. The ways I found are aceteminophen and or Tylenol, Fluids and a warm bath. SA fever occurs when germs enter the body which immediately the body attempts to get rid of and one way is to raise the core temperature of the body-part in the brain that regulates will set a higher temp for the body to be and it is during this process that we have chills when the body reaches the new higher temp the chills stop, Aceteminophn and Tylenol both lower the body temp-as does a warm bath and even a warm sponge bath will help to lower the temperature.Never take aspirin if 25yrs of age or below. Since with the chills, fluctuation of heat and probably feeling weak I would think walking or any heavy exertion esp one that produces sweat would raise the body temperature even more when the opposite needs to be done. When having a fever forget walking or any activity that may raise, make you feel hot, sweat(a response to being hot) for you are making the fever go higher but take the over the counter med I've mentioned and drink liquids--cool room temperature not hot drinks.

i am not a doctor, but from what i know, you should rest as much as possible, drink alot of fluids. covering up and sweating it out might help. a fever reducer such as asprin, should be taken if you have never had a problem w/asprin before. if you have a fever for more than 2 days, i would recommend calling your doctor if you have one. some cities have clinics that charge according to your income. you might need antibiodics to help destroy the germ that is making your temperature go up. if your temperature is over 102, you might consider soaking in a tub of luke warm to cool water for 15 minutes to a half hour. also, you should put a cool/cold washcloth on your forehead and keep changing it to keep it cool. you can do that while in bed or on the couch, whatever. that also might help bring down your fever. i would not recommend walking to lower it. good luck :)

Depends on how high the fever is and where you are in your illness. A lot of times if you feel you are getting something, walking can give your immunity a boost. A lot of my friends will exercise at the first sign of illness. If you try and feel worse, stop immediately rather than expend all the energy you need to battle the now present illness.

No, it is not good to walk a lot with a fever. Your body is sick and using a lot of energy to fight an infection or virus. Walk a little if you feel like it, but mostly let yourself rest.

You need to cover yourself with so that you do not feel cold. Otherwise fever bacteria will have favorable chance to affect you.
