God's original plan was for man and woman to be without clothing. It wasn't until satan lured Eve to eat fruit from the forbidden tree. Then Eve lured Adam to share the fruit with her. Once they both ate from the tree, they both saw they were naked and hid themselves. Before this, they never gave it a second thought. I would say that since Adam and Eve blew it. God wants us to finish out our punishment. There for at this present time, God frowns on skimpy clothing that reveals too much flesh. What is too much? Let your conscience be your guide.

God judges the intention of our hearts....
Are you wearing skimpy clothing because it's hot?
Are you wearing it because it's comfortable?
Are you trying to attract attention to yourself?
Are you flaunting your body?
Are you a lady of the evening, out to turn a few tricks?
There are many reasons a person might be wearing "skimpy clothing"...
Let's quit judging one another, and let God be God....

If there really is a god he would have a lot more to worry about in this world than skimpy clothing. How about poverty, starvation,child abuse etc. etc. If he worries about any of those things he would surely do something about them. Isn't he supposed to be able to work miracles.

I think that God wants people to be modest and not trashy (my words) if you're dressing skimpy for a reason like getting men's attention then it's bad because you are causing them to sin. i think it says in the bible to be humble and skimpy to me goes against that...

According to Christian faith Adam and Eve were naked after God created them and they were not ashamed of it until they ate the forbidden fruit then covered themselves with fig leaves garments. When they were kicked out of the garden God gave them durable animal skin garments. So there is a notion of body parts others should not see. My guess is, if you can make out or see those body parts it could make your life more complicated and God was trying to prevent that.

Considering that we are born naked and clothing is used to protect then skin from the effects of the sun and to help actect a mate. I don't think God really cares.

Being God, I would assume he shops at a Big and Tall Store. I doubt they even carry anything we'd consider "skimpy".

He thinks it is skimpy is all but, he also thinks that it encourages sinful thoughts in some so that is real bad. It is one thing to be tempted and sin but it is quite another to do the tempting enabling one to sin.

God probably would rather u not show off your body but He's kind of busy with all the wars and sickness and other world issues.

God says in His word that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Ghost.
dont desecrate the temple!
He doesnt say not to wear bathing suits or shorts, just dont go out looking like a prostitute.
also, there's the whole thing with conviction. if you're wearing something you feel guilty about DONT WEAR IT!
but if it's cute, go ahead, girl!
