Fa la la la la, la la la la!

I'd do blue christmas bulbs (different sizes and tones of color)with white twinkle lights. Get those clear acrylic beads that look like ice or snow and wrap the tree in that. Then use a sheer blue and silver ribbon - make a BIG bow, stick it on the top of the tree (different than a star or angel) and then use additional ribbon by twirling it down the tree in various lengths.

Try thinking of a theme for each Christmas. One year you may want to go with Winter Wonderland and use blues, silvers, whites, ect. The next year you may want to choose theme that is more flashy by using purples and reds, ect. The great thing about a white tree is that it is the perfect neutral background for any ideas you may have.
Try looking at decorating magazines for theme ideas.

Try using silver and glittery white. By glittery white, I mean snowflakes, balls and icicles that have glitter on them to reflect the lights. You should use the clear lights.Use silver, pearl and opalescence beaded chains. It would make your tree look frozen. Wrap all you presents in silver or white. I think it would be quite a sophisticated look. P.S. don't use garland..only beaded chains.

I've actually seen black ornaments at Hobby Lobby this year. I thought it was weird, but I can see it on a white tree...maybe you could get a little mp3 player to continuously play 'Ebony and Ivory' along with it? Just to go with a theme....

My white tree has pink ornaments - but this may be too girly for your hubby. Blue ornaments are beautiful on a white tree.

In my first home, we used all gold decorations and hundreds and hundreds of clear white lights on our white tree. It was magnificent.
