Theists are atheists to all gods other than their own, and "true" atheists just take it one step further. It is impossible to prove that one religion is any more valid than any other one, and so it is only safe to assume they are all either valid or invalid. Invalid seems more likely.

I was raised Mormon. I believed my whole life that the church was true and that it was the only true religion. When I was 15 I was reading a history book and was made aware of a lot of FACTS that went against what I was taught. It talked about the prairie massacre. Then I became curious about polygamy and why it really was stopped and found out that it was greed that stopped the supposed holy practice. This is how someone knows if their religion is a lie. They end up getting facts that show it for the lie it is. Now I think that I have an extreme advantage when it comes to knowing truth from lie. I choose not to go to any church now. I read the Bible in my home to my children and I think that's enough. I'd rather do that than contribute my time and money to a business that is church.

It is very obvious that God had descended commandments after commandments and religion after religion to safeguard human being. As early as The Ten Commandments till the last Holy Quran which consists of 6,666 commandments. It is rather important to differentiate the truth or false regarding religions.
Commandments which could be accepted by our logical mind
should be considered as true and genuine but not otherwise.
Firstly all religions besides relating to God are false because there are man-made . Compare the difference you found by reading through the holy books. You will have no doubt in finding
out which is the true religion on earth. Before you start doing it, please put your racial minded aside.

Well, if your religion claims to believe in the Bible then your beliefs must not contradict the Bible.
If you believe the Bible and want to question the Bible then you look at it's harmony. Look at the past prophecies are there any historical truth? What does establish facts and science say about your beliefs? If Noah is real, is there evidence that the highest part of the world was under water once? If God created us why does evolutionists say no? Is evolution real or not?

You don't have to study and compare the teachings of all the many religions! You only need to learn what the Bible REALLY teaches about true worship.
To illustrate: If you were given the job of picking out counterfeit money, how would you go about it? Would you memorize every kind of counterfeit? No. Your time would be better spent studying REAL money. After you knew what real money looked like, you could recognize a counterfeit. Similarly, when we learn how to identify the true religion, we can recognize those religions that are false.
Many people believe that all religions are pleasing to God, but the Bible does not teach that. Jesus said, "not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will." We must learn then, what God requires of us, and do it.
How to identify the true religion:
Jesus said, "By their fruits you will recognize them,....every good tree produces fine fruit." (Matthew 7:16, 17) In other words, those who practice the true religion would be recognized by their beliefs and their conduct.
Those who worship the true God:
-base their teachings on the Bible.
Jesus based all his teachings on the Bible, not on human views or traditions. (Matthew 4:4,7,10)
-worship only Jehovah and make his name known.
Jesus set the pattern for this. "I have made your name manifest..." (John 17:6)
-show genuine love for one another.
John 13:35, "By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves." Members of false religions do not have such a loving brotherhood. True Christians do not take up weapons to kill their Christian brothers or anyone else. (1 John 3:10-12; 4:20,21)
-accept Jesus as God's means of salvation.
Acts 4:12 says, "there is no salvation in anyone else..."
-are no part of the world.
John 18:36, Jesus said, "my kingdom is no part of this world." This would certainly include maintaining neutrality in the world's political affairs and taking no part in its conflicts. We are however law-abiding because we are also commanded to "be in subjection" to the governmental "superior authorities." (Romans 13:1) Where there is a conflict, we follow Acts 5:29, where the apostles said, "we must obey God as ruler rather than men."
-preach God's Kingdom as man's only hope.
Matthew 24:14, Jesus foretold, "this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." This is what Jesus taught us to pray for in Matthew 6:10. "Let your kingdom come."
What religious group bases all its teachings on the Bible and makes known Jehovah's name? What group practices godly love, exercises faith in Jesus, is no part of the world, and proclaims God's Kingdom as the only hope for mankind?
Jehovah's Witnesses!

Religions may not lie but many religious does. I cannot tell you which one is true or not but in the meantime stay where you are and believe firmly within your heart that God is just and merciful that whichever religion you belong, He is there with you.
Do what you believe is right with respect to other's rights and find it in your heart to be guided to reality from the truth. It is also important if you can really know his name. There are many names given to him but there is only One he claims he should be called...www.thename.ph

You never really know. People can offer historical evidence and ancient eyewitness acounts, but no one on Earth knows. You just have to have faith. I struggle with this a lot. I'm a Christian, but sometimes I think about it and wonder "Am I just going to be worm food after I die?" But then I think, it's not a bad way to live at all. So by the off chance God doesn't exist, I still lived a full rewarding life.
...Sorry if this doesn't help.

It works, that's how I know it's not a lie.
It's taken me 30 years to reach that solid truth, 30 years of trusting when I had no reason to. But it's true, it works.
