Well I'd definately take it to an auto electrician. If you don't know one, take it to a shop and see if they can refer you to someone.

try to reset the computer by disconnecting that battery, this might work on some of the pre OBD explorer, other wise you will need to have the computer system scanned.

take it to ford dealer and have them check and clear the codes on the computer that is if it isnt fried
