We sure don't know that the forbidden fruit was a apple.The curse was on all women. Genesis 3: 16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Quran being the only divine book in its original language and protected letter by letter and word by word for last 1450 years as promised by the God that He would protect the book, gives the correct and the authentic answer. It was not EVE who forced Adam to eat. Both were deceived by Satan. Both ate together and both lost their heavenly dresses. Both asked for forgiveness of the God. The God taught them how to ask. And then the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious God (The One and Only) forgave them. He sent them on earth as Khalifa or Governor without any original sin. All new borns are born absoultely innocent and wihtout any sin. They reamin till their parents change them and make them do wrong things like taking partners with the God (Shirk) which is a greatest disloylty to the One WHo created us and providing us every thing. So there is no original sin any more and no curse on Eve or women.

Eve was cursed with pain in childbearing from eating the fruit, Adam was cursed with working the land with the sweat of his brow because of his eating the fruit, and the serpent was cursed with having enmity between his seed and the seed of the woman because of the lie that the serpent told Eve.

someone said ALL OF MANKIND. Satan knew that Adam was supposed to carry out God's perfect plan on earth so he seduced Eve since she is the weaker vessel. But thank God for Jesus Christ. Now death will not come to those who believe and put their trust in Him.
