I would not have paid for the haircut, but since you did there is not much you can do about it now. Next time stay and watch the haircut yourself - men usually don't have a clue what to watch for.
Take a picture for your scrapbook because you will probably laugh about it one day. (Or at least your daughter will want to see it) Reschedule her pictures. Please don't make her take professional pictures with messed up hair. If they are school pictures, you can get a pretty good approximation of the same pictures at a studio.

That is horrible! I had a really bad haircut like that too. (I went to this place in the mall called headhunters) I told them I wanted an undercut. (you know a bob with a layer slightly shorter underneath to give it poof) well the dumb cow, got the raisors out and shaved the back of my head! I wanted a conservative cut and she was giving me a punk cut. I was outraged but didn't stand up for myself. I was 13 or 14. I cried for days. I would definitely call the place where she got it cut, and complain to the manager of the salon and possibly even demand a refund in person and show her how bad the haircut is. Unfortunately, once its cut it takes a bit to grow back. The good part is she is 3 and likely won't remember much about it when she is 16. Be glad she's not 16. The good news is it will grow back. I went through a few months of beauty school but didn't like it but learned a few bits of things. Give her regular scalp massages with conditioner, gently massaging her scalp. This will stimulate the hair folicles to grow and the conditioner will ensure a healthy head of hair and scalp which means beautiful long hair. I am so sorry this happened. If its long enough to put in a ponytail at all, there are hair pony attachments you can get that may help over the next few weeks as it grows out.
Also, once you chew the hairstylist butt and her manager, go to a well known salon (and spa) and get a consult from a hairstylist who has lots of experience. They usually catagorize stylist by Jr Sr, advanced, and advanced senior. (go see at least an advanced stylist and she may be able to unbutcher it and at least have a good short haircut.

omg, the same thing happened to me last year, i went to get a trim for my bangs and stuff and they like cut it so damn short (it was like a buzz cut) i was mistaken for a guy a lot (x.x) so you should totally call the place and complain about it and not go there again! you have every right to be pissed by the way! i can't believe they still charged you 12.95!! At least she's only three and don't worry the hair will grow back, just do the best you can with the hair for the pictures or post pone them until her hair grows out.

OK, so your mad. She is only 3. She is probably over it already. In a few weeks (when her hair starts growing and not looking so much like a boy) this is going to make a great story to repeat over and over again. We all have hair night mare story when we were young. Don't you remember yours?
Your right though $12.95 was too much for a cut without wash, but you should have spoke up then, now it's just eating away at you.
You have until Monday to practice different hairstyles on your baby. But don't worry mom, the worst pictures have the best stories.

I understand why you're mad... I definitely would be too, but you should have told the stylist you werent happy. Getting the cut for free wouldn't fix her hair but at least she would know she messed up and you'd save 12.95 on a haircut you shouldn't pay for. You could still go back, most salons do a 7 day refund on haircuts. As for your daughters hair now, all you can do is grow it out. If the cut itself is fine, just grow it out and use cute hair clips and such, but if the cut is bad, take her to another stylist to have it shaped up. All stylists make mistakes, so don't be too mad at her, but at least let her know, and go ahead and get your money back.

NEVER PAY FOR A HORRIBLE HAIRCUT!! Do the best you can to make her feel pretty, that's all that really matters. There will be a million more opportunities to take pics in her life. Years from now you will look at the pic and not give it a second thought. Think, how many funny looking pics you have as a kid.

Yes, understandingly I would be mad too but there's nothing you can do now. Don't worry she's just a baby and it'll grow out. Don't let things like that get you all worked up. Trust me years from now this will be only a memory and you'll laugh. But for future references never tell them how many inches you want off you show them exactly how short you want it.

I would have been yelling at the entire mall for the owner manager. Monday you call and get name of owner/manager and tell them what happened.
Many cheap places don't wash hair IKKKK like where my hubby goes.
I would demand your money back OR at least fix the styling nice and then give you a free one in the future.
Remember, at least the short hair can be cute and it will grow back. And for those fools who said she looked like a boy, tell them they need a lesson in sex ed.

i remember there was this girl in my elementary school when i was little who had really pretty hair. and one day she cam in with it chopped in a mushroom cut at her ears. i asked her what happened and she cried and told me that her babysitter was playing with her hair and tried cutting it for her. well anyway at recess all of the boys in my class were introuble for doing something to the bathroom or w,e so all the boys had to line up agianst the wall during recess untill someone confessed.and it was horrible the teacher who obviously didnt know the girl made her stand there with all of the boys for recess. i felt so bad for her. i can understand where your coming from with this it can be socially devastating, but the girl ended up fine shes actually very popular now.
what does she have pics for?

yeah i would be pretty ticked off myself.
i would take her back their and ask them who did her hair and file a complaint against her/him. and request someone else to fix her hair free of charge,(they have to do if for free, because they are the ones who messed it up) but make sure you have a receipt so they know that it was done their. also tell the that this person who did your daughters hair should be fired! (because they suck at cutting hair)
hopefully you can reschedule your appointment if you cant fix it. good luck and sorry to here about your daughters bad haircut.
