I took allergy shots for 5 years (longer than anyone else at this particular allergy Dr.) I was also prescribed Allegra, Flonase, and a decongestant. Ten years later, I am retested and told I'm no longer allergic to anything, yet I still take all of the above because if I stop, I get sinus infections and hives. Is it worth it, it wasn't for me. But everybody's different.
