Drugs...basically. Most criminals are drug addicts and have either committed felony thefts to get money to buy drugs or were arrested for drug offenses.

Felony offenses. Prison is different then jail. You must be sentenced for more then a year and a day to go to prison.

My nephew is a prison guard and he says the one thing the prisomers have in common is their stupidity. After all they got caught.
