Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!
1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.
2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:
* Beans
* Yogurt
* Almonds
* Vitamin B
* Fish
* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER
3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.
4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.
5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.
6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.
7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.
8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.
9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.
10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

First start with a good shampoo and conditioner. Professional products are quality and worth your money if you care about your hair, which you should since it is what frames your face and you wouldn't put a million dollar painting in a frame from wal-mart... Anyways, get a good volumizing shampoo and conditioner combo from your salon. Paul Mitchell Extra Body and Redken Body Full are great choices. Next use a root lifter like Redken Guts before you blowdry. Use a round brush to give your hair even more volume. Finish off with a hairspray like Paul Mitchell Extra Body Finishing Spray or Redken Workforce.
Also, if you don't already, try some layers. Ask your stylist to cut your hair with a razor into a layered bob. If your stylist isn't comfortable CUTTING with a razor, find someone else to do it, because it's a common misconception that razors are for thinning the hair only. You can get it cut without having it thinned, this will give your hair an airy feel to it, so your hair will have lots of body and volume!!! Good luck.

For volume use mousse,and be sure to put some extra in the root area for lift. You may also want to try keeping your hair layered which will give it some lift so its not so flat to the head which can help the light pass through it so it won't appear so oily and weighed down. You also need to use a clarifying shampoo,and no conditioner ever near the roots,you can run through your ends but not near the roots of the hair,this will also lead to your hair looking and feeling droopy and greasy and just life less..

If you hair is long it will be impossible for you hair to get volume for the day,but try this simple technique, when you wash your hair use only shampoo and don't put conditioner. Put mousse and blowdry your hair downward then use a strong hold spraynet.

For Baby-Fine hair, that doesn't curl easily? (Let me just say......ouch!) Sorry, sorry, ~If you do want to have curls in your hair, take a LARGE curling iron, and give yourself a SLIGHT curl. DO NOT USE ACTUALL HAIR SPRAY!! Ya know the kind that smell REAL bad and that gets everywhere? Spary your hair with something in the REDKEN brand b4 u curl your hair, get the one with the manual sprayer! ~And if you don't want curls in your hair, try pulling back the front part of your hair, pull up all the hair so that your ears are completely visable, (unless you have bangs!) tie it with a CLEAR hair tie, then add a diamond barret, or flowers, ect. And add some really nice earrings! (P.S. congrats!)

Oily hair is VERY tricky, but it can be managed.
Here are some tips to keep hair volumized.
-Carry a portable hairdryer. It will dry the oils up and make your hair look fresh again.
-Wear mousse, not gel. Mousse is light weight AND WILL NOT WEIGH YOUR HAIR DOWN AS MUCH.
-Bring a brush where ever you go so your hair wont go flat.
-A hint of baby powder will dry up oil.
-don't touch your hair

i have a similar problem and find that using hairspray after blow dtrying usually keeps it in place and dries it up a little. Try not to touch your hair throughout the day.. which i know can be difficult.
