of course it is healthy to wash you hair every day! unless you like to have a bad hair day! i wash mine every day. but if you have split ends or something there are special shampoos that can help control it. plus don't you want your hair looking great!?

It really depends on your hair. If you can go two days, even three without it looking flat and greasy, or smelling (if you smoke, it probably stinks...) go ahead. You only need to wash your hair often enough to keep it clean. It's not unhealthy to go a couple days without washing, in fact washing it too often if you don't need to be, that can be unhealthy because you're depriving your hair of the natural oils it needs to stay healthy!!! Just keep regular trims (6-8 weeks) Good luck!

Depends on the texture of your hair. I don'tk know what ethnicity you are. I'm African American and I have natural (non-chemically treated) hair. African American hair does not produce as much oil naturally as straight or fine hair. Also the curl pattern makes it difficult for natural oils to travel down the hair shaft and moisturize the hair. This is why AA's usually use lots of products containing oils to moisturize their hair, it tends to be dry. For this reason, it's recommended that we shouldn't wash everyday but actually only once or twice a week. If you aren't AA you can and should wash more frequently since your hair will become more naturally oily faster. I would say 3-4 days per week but everyday is certainly not necessary. Washing too much dries anyone's hair out. Hope that helps.

I guess it would depend if you use a lot of hair product every day. You would also have to take in account of your hair type. I would go into your salon and let the stylist shampoo and style your hair (mostly cause its a nice treat for yourself) and during that time ask your questions. You could consider it a Dr visit for your hair. I did that recently and was able to make appropriate changes.

It depends on the hair i think. if you have oily hair then you should wash it every day most likely. otherwise you can try to take a day off now and then. or try a good shampoo/conditioner that doesnt weigh down hair or dry it out, and then you can wash it everyday. good luck!

I am African American and I wash my hair once every 1-2 weeks. Then I deep condition it, but I do something called CW everyday. Everyday I wash my hair with conditioner. While in the shower you just wet your hair and wash it with conditioner. It makes my hair more healthier, and bouncier. It also helps with repairing your hair, and keeps it straighter in between perms.

Depends on your hair type. If you have oily hair then it shouldn't hurt at all. Use a good shampoo. If you tend to have dry hair then use a good conditioner. If it is really dry, a hot oil treatment works great. You can buy this at any hair supply place. That's what I do to mine.

I have heard you are not supposed to wash it daily. My hair is the same way and it also gets greasy looking if I don't wash it daily. So i have no choice but to wash it daily.

I don't think so....especially if you have a long hair. I think it is better for you to wash it once in every three days.
