Usually they show Charles Heston had beard in ten commandments.He did not say anything about Jesus.People that time I think used to have beard and moustaches.

There was this thing called being a nazirite vow (see numbers 6 :1-12) which meant among other things not cutting hair. Unless they were just people who had nothing much to do my guess is that had lotsa hair. Not so much as to be in the way. There is a point at which having hair is more problem than not, most would keep that balance.

Yes I believe they did. They did not cut hair and shave their beards back then.
