Go to a proffesional hairdresser if you try yourself the scalp will still show brown quickly .Another idea is to have blonde tips mixed with brown it looks quite fashionable.

Go to a professional. Retail products which claim to make you white blonde usually can't because the volume of peroxide or "bleach" isn't high enough to keep your hair from turning orange, which brown hair will most commonly do with the drugstore hair dye kits. And just dumping a bunch of peroxide on your head will only result in dry, orange hair unless you know what you're doing.

bleach it only if your completly positive that what you want, i would not bleach my hair though even if i wanted it that color, it ruins your hair, the chemicals eat it up andd leave it frayed and dazzed, it also breaks and burns it , which will also damage your scalp , so i actually wouldnt want you to bleach your hair so rake back what i said, and plus bleach is completly permanent, not even the best hairstylist can un due a bleached hair job, and what will you do when the roots start coming in, the whole idea is so disaterous, so if your wanting to go blonde, go to a hair salon, im sure they can do wonders with your hair, and if your not the salon type, buy a box of do it yourself stuff like they always show on tv, but stand clear off all bleach products, you will think me latter girl!!

You need to have it bleached completely...not w/a color. Then have your stylist come back over it w/the color of blonde you want. Be careful who does your hair...to much bleaching at once will make your hair fall out. It drys it out and makes it extremely brittle! If you have never dyed your hair, chances are your hair (being brown) feels smooth. Once you dye it blonde, the texture of your hair WILL change. IT drys it out tremendously, and you will have to use lots of conditioner because your hair will stay tangled.

i would suggest leaving a peroxide on your hair for about 1 hour and it will be white blond without the damage of regular bleaching dyes and follow up with a deep conditioner like queen helene hair mayonaise

Ask any blonde. 99% of them really have brown hair--look at their eyebrows!
