I'm 30 and Vodka mixed with squirt was my first alcohol experience. Well, it's been a number of years later and I haven't drank Vodka since. My grandfathers were also alcoholics but I'm not. I have a few drinks once in a while but it's never been a problem. It's really up to the individual.

Telling you that you are going to become an alcohalic is going to upset you, or make you think that it is inevitable, so you will take another drink within the next month or week.

If I say no, then you will not have the fear needed to stay away from the alcohal.

I will tell you that it is quite young to begin drinking, and since it runs in your family, the chance is there.

But I hate when people say those kinds of things.

Who knows what the future will hold?

Good luck to you.

firstly, YES!! and you are way way too young to be drinking alcohol - it will lead to physical and mental problems.
Alcohol is highly addictive and can lead to many problems - you will lose motivation, never get a job, have crap relationships - do you really want this for yourself?
i advise you stay well away from alcohol until you are mature enough to be able to deal with its effects and act responsibly.
i hope you dont fall into this trap as you have your whole life ahead of you. find other ways of achieving stimulation - get a hobby, ambition and drive yourself towards that. you can break the pattern that has beset your family. alcholism is not necessarily genetic but patterns of behaviour can be copied by generations.. you can break that..
good luck : )

Person's with a family history of alcoholism are at much greater risk for alcoholism/alcohol abuse than others. Despite that fact, you sound quite young and there are many risks that go along with drinking under age. Knowing all the legal and possible abuse risks you put yourself in, is drinking really worth it?

If u start enjoying as more and more of alchohol goes inside ur system and u continue to find out what happens if u take more, the possibility of ur becoming a drunkard/alchoholic is there. U have to be cautious as genes play a part in ur tendencies.

you won't be addicted if you do it just that once. if you do it a lot then it will be. it's best to just not do it at all for a couple years and then you won't have the opportunity to get addicted. chances are you didn't like it that much anyway, so there's not all that much to lose by not doing it, right? you can message me if you want.i'm 14, so it won't be like i'm an adult preaching to you about how young you are--because that always irritates me.

you're 13 and you drank?!?! what's wrong with you?
Well, for now you haven't craved more alcohol, but if you keep this up, you will become an alcoholic.
