The only problem with online dating is the liers that are out there. Also, I guess, the fact that you don't have as much as a relationship with someone that you actually know, and can touch. Anyways, if you can find someone on the internet and you both feel attracted to each other, go for it! Just make sure that you keep it safe, don't end up in a mess. Also take it slow, don't try and rush stuff, just like a normal relationship. So personally, I have no problem with it, as long as you're safe and you feel like everything is okay. Good Luck!!

I believe it is totally possible to meet a wonderful partner online.
You just have to be very careful not to trust everyone. I have met and dated a few people long term that I have met online. I have met the love of my life on one site. We are still together. I never would have met him in person if he did not post a profile on one of the dating sites. He lives several hours away and I would not have met him just passing on the street. I have also met some complete liars! Amazing what 6'2" looks like when he stood up at the table and was shorter than I am at 5'6". I also met men that weigh 100 lbs more than average when their profile listed them as "average". Just be cautious and I wish you much success.

I know a lot of people who have met great matches online.
Its weeds out those you would not get on with, like something you wouldn't know if you met a guy in a bar etc. Say he has 10 kids from previous 7 marriages
Though you can be anyone you want to be online so a lot of fakes or creepy guys

the amount of time you spend looking at profiles and actually meeting these people are a waste of time you could go out to a pub/club and meet just as many people without making an effort to dress smart and impress them you can be yourself. On-line dating gives people a false impression of you if much better to meet people in a natural way as you will eventually find a soulmate this way

there's no such thing as a soul mate its just a case of meeting people who tick a certain amount of ur attraction boxes, those boxes are for example ,tone of voice, accent ,hair type, temperament,if u find a person who ticks ur boxes and u tick there boxes then bump the love endophine flows in the brain, then u get the old unseperableness ,gazeing at each other for ages and saying things such as' oh it was meant to be or imagine if we'd never met were soul mates. Then one day ur at work and oh u meet some one else who ticks the boxes ,all you've got to do now is send a text to ur partner to tell them its over and u can move on to ur next SOULMATE. just leaving ur ex to work out wot they did wrong they usually find out the truth in months to come, so in answer to ur qu. yes online dating is a way of finding lots of potential candidates for box ticking, its biology thats all.

It sure is a waste of time and anyway its not like u could see that person in real life. its just some pictures or whatever it is.Its more better to go outside and make comunications with other people not the net.

It has worked for a tiny minority of people, but basically,I would say it's pretty much a waste of time and effort.I wouldn't know where to start with all the potential problems you might face.

I found my soul mate here on "Answers." We are very happy together. I have not tried the dating sites. I know of a couple who met on a dating site and they are getting married soon.
The thing is to take it slow. Be very careful about the information you give out to strangers.
