how about a nice watch in a presentation box with a personal note of thanks from yourself and the groom, the personal touch is what counts and not the value of the gift. if you're not yet wed, have a great day and a wonderful life.

I still like the photo frame idea but don't stop with just the frame: on wedding day, be sure and have your photographer take a photo with you and each bridesmaid individually. Then you send the photo to each bridesmaid after the wedding with a nice note. Maybe have the frame engraved with a personal message or a quote about friendship, or just your names and the wedding date.
You could also make a donation to each bridesmaid's favorite charity, or a charity you think she would like to support. Maybe one is a dog lover, so give a gift to the Humane Society in her honor. Maybe one loves gardening so you make a gift to the Botanical Garden in her name. Each charity will also send each bridesmaid a note to let them know you made an honor gift (they won't tell the amount of the gift you made).
Or take the whole group to do something fun together, like a cooking class, or a day trip to a winery.
Have fun, and congrats!

When I got married I bought all my bridesmaids jewerly that was to be worn on my special day but was also casual enough to be worn with a nice outfit. It was some stuff from Claires but it was absolutely beautiful and I paid for each of them to have a manicure and a pedicure the day before the wedding and I gave each of them a bottle of lotion from Bath and Body Works. But these were items that all my girls would like, but yours may not. Go with something that you think would suit everyone in your party and that was no one will feel let down. When I was in my friends wedding she gave everyone their own personal gift b/c she couldn't find anything that fit all of our personalities. Take a look at thingsremembered.com they have nice gifts!!

Gift Certificates are always good, but I would only consider them if you give each one a different certificate to a place that you know they would enjoy. You could wrap a local stores catalog as a fun way of gift giving, wait till they have opened it and see their expression's... then give them the gift certificate. A wedding charm for a bracelet is a very nice memory of the occasion. If they do not have a bracelet they could wear it on a necklace, unless you can afford to buy each a bracelet. Congratulations and Best Wishes To You and Your Fiance'.

I love the currenct Elsa Peretti Tiffany Necklaces. They are small letters in silver of the person's initial. They are about £110 each. Your bridesmaid will keep these forever and most people like a little blue box with white ribbon.

I was thinking about doing this for my bridesmaids (15, 16, 17, 19, 20). Get an inexpensive picture frame. Write their name really cool and colorful in big letters that fill up almost the entire frame. Use stickers, glitter, etc to decorate it. Around their name in smallish, black lettering, write memories of things you did together, inside jokes, etc. For example, for my best friend I would have put "Jamba Juice" "It is lightning!" "Snickerbugs" and "Bubbles." Things she will get but not everyone will. Make it personal for each of them.

I think you should get your bridesmaids something personalized from Things Remembered. You can personalized a nice charm, key chain, jewelry box etc.
Make sure you personalize it with something special like Thank you for sharing out special day and the person's name.

I've also paid for their dresses/shoes etc. The shoes were expensive and will definately be worn again, I reccommend just getting a token to show your appeciatian,
perfume, voucher, jewelery, have awee look around your local gift shops, you might find something a bit diiferent, good luck xx

When I was a bridesmaid we all got freshwater pearl necklaces (the real thing, not the rude thing). They are really classy and I've worn mine loads. Compared to those tacky Elizabeth Duke pendants, they are flippin' amazing.
You could always get them vouchers for a spa day...
