here is a VERY effective remedy for your dry hair:
Before you wash it, brush out all knots and tangles. Take your time with this.
Comb olive oil through your hair, by just pouring it over a long comb and running it through all of your hair.
Leave it on for 10 minutes, I suggest reading a magazine or something for the time. (wear an old tshirt if you are concerned about it running)
Hop in the shower and wash it out thoroughly. Don't condition.
Let hair dry naturally.

Do this routine 2wice a month, you will be amazed with the results.

VO5 makes this hot oil treatment. It comes in a little plastic tube and you heat it slightly in hot water, then put it on your hair. It is meant to revitalize and treat hair that is too dried out.
Also you could try Infusium 23 leave in conditioner. And Pantine conditioner is good too for dry hair.
Lots of stuff causes it. You could be over bleaching or coloring, you could be in a very dry or hot climate area, and then again you could just have very dry hair. If you have split ends, you might have to get that stuff trimmed off first, to give your hair a fighting chance at getting in better shape.
And don't always use the same shampoo. That sometimes effects your hair condition. Change off between two or three you like.

I had the same problem when I let my hair grow out natural (no relaxers). I used a wonderful conditioner by Loreal called Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture. I've only seen it in Sally's and other beauty supply stores. It makes even the driest, coarsest hair soft and silky. It smells great too! Use the shampoo and conditioner together and you will see the results after just one use.

I have teh same problem, conditioner helps. Hot oil treatments are good too. I know for me the water where I live is a BIG part of the problem.... hard water is rough on hair. Good luck
