A foster home is a place for kids who have usually been taken away from their parents for abuse or other reasons. There's a lot of bad things about them, but a lot of good too.
What you are allowed to do would depend on your foster parents.
But before you try to get into one keep in mind that a lot of the families don't care about the kids, they just want the check they get every month. But, there are some good ones too.

A foster home is supposed to enforce the same rules that responsible parents do.
Don't think for a minute that a foster home will be a ticket to freedom -- there will be many restrictions there, and possibly a few nasty surprises too.
If you feel the rules are too harsh at home, try talking to your family and working out some compromises -- you give a little, they give a little, see?
It's very rare that a foster family will care about your well-being the way that blood relatives do.
Hang in there -- you'll be an adult soon enough.

You go into foster care if you are taken from your parents because they are abusive or put you in similarly dangerous situations, or you have no parents or relatives to care for you. You can't determine where you go within the state. You might not even get placed in a foster home, but rather a group home. Your foster parents can make all the rules- curfew, where you go, who you hang with, etc. Just like real parents.

Foster home is what everyone else says it is. You might want to think about that kids get beaten and raped in foster homes and all kinds of god knows what. It is not rosy at all. There are some good ones but there is no way to know if you will end up in a good one.

Why do you want to get into a foster home?Take sometime to cool down, and think this over.Are you mad at your Mom and Dad?Or are you an orphan?If you are an orphan, here is my advice...I don't think that foster Moms and Dads are really rumored to be perfect little angels to there children,so I think you should just ask if you can stay at a firends house with a small family,or if you have a nice aunt or grandma.

Foster home are for kids who don't have good parents,, Parents who are abusive and neglectful.. Are you parents like this?? If not them you will need to stick it out!! Not getting your way is not a reason to get placed in a foster home..

well i do not live in a foster home but i am guessing that it depends on the parents. and the only way that you can get into one is if like you have nobody (like relatives) to take care of you and watch over you.
it all depends on the kind of parents that you have (if they let you hang out with your friends or not, or have a boyfriend) and that is all that i can pretty much tell you i hoped that i helped you.bye.
