I am considering Jeff Anderson's weight training program, which he claims increases your testosterone by more than 300% to help gain mass. It is all natural and involves no steroids or drugs. Is this safe? I don't know if this will increase chances of prostrate cancer, or mess with one's personality when testosterone is this much higher in a body. The program is at www.optimum-anabolics.com

No, no no no no.

Testosterone IS a steroid - the term "steroid" includes sex hormones because it's a term describing the structure of the chemical.

If you take testosterone, you take steroids. The anabolic steroids that are so often looked at negatively are "testosterone precursors," which means that your body turns them into testosterone. It's just like taking testosterone straight, when you boil it all down.

Look, here's the thing: Your body makes as much testosterone as it thinks it needs. Taking more is hard on your joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and brain. If you really want to get big, adjust your diet and lift more.

One last thing: Too much testosterone can cause the growth of manboobs. Your body will see the higher levels of testosterone, and freak out. It'll shut down testosterone production (oh, yeah, say goodbye to your testicles - they shrink when you take steroids), and increase estrogen and progesterone production (your adrenal glands make those anyway, even in healthy men). In some cases, the body ramps up estrogen and progesterone too much, and you get breasts.

Eh i wouldn't do it. If you increase your testosterone you will get the same bad effects as if you were taking steroids.
