They are a mix of a cocker spaniel and poodle, It doesn't matter matter how much they cost. It's still a mix of two different breeds.

Sorry but under the international agreements governing canine breeds and registration, if they aren't recognized by a kennel club that is the recognized national organization for dogs, they are MUTTS

The "Continental Kennel Club" is NOT a legitimate breed and pedigree registry but another fraud designed to separate the fools from their money. It is not accorded registration reciprocity by any National Kennel Club in the world. Ask those for a 5 generation pedigree - HA HA HA!!!!!! Ask them if their registration will be recognized by the Canadian Kennel CLub, the AKC or The Kennel Club in the UK.

Just because there is a fad where scam artists con ignorant stupid people out of large sums of money for a mongrel does not make something a "Breed" or a "Purebred' .All the ads mean is that there are 1200 or so deluded scammers out there conning the gullible.

These cross-bred mongreal have no breed registry, no pedigree records, no breed standard for conformation or temperment and are not rcognized by any kennel club in the world.

Try sending Xrays into the OFA or eye exam results tto CERF. The breed they will put down? Mixed breed mongrel.

A mutt is any dog that is a combination of 2 or more different breeds. So yes, a coc-a-poo is a mutt. The fact that they can be falsely advertised as OMG Hypoallerginic (WRONG) and various other things cannot change the fact that they are a cross breed, a mutt.

For the record, NO dog or cat is hypoallergenic. Some dogs have different hair types, some dogs shed less, but they all shed and they all produce allergies in different people. Some dogs are known to cause FEWER allergies to those known to suffer them, but trust me, they are still there.

This new craze of breeding everything with a poodle is not only crazy, its getting way out of hand. People who buy these animals for $1200 should contact me, I have some oceanside property in Arizona to sell them, too!
The argument for these crosses is the poodle is that they don't shed and they are hypo-allergenic. Wrong! Also, mixing two breeds gives you the best of both breeds.
Has anybody ever given the thought consideration, "WHAT IF WE GET THE WORST OF BOTH BREEDS?!?!?!?!"
It happens, it happens a lot, and when you cross breeds and think you're doing the world a favor, stop and think why we have organizations like the AKC, to keep a rein on breeders and ensure they maintain quality and are breeding animals that genuinely make a contribution to a breed, not to mention filter out and discourage all of the amateur breeders popping up everywhere.
To add to insult to injury, one of these crazes is now mixing Poodles with Golden Retrievers. I think this is the worst-case scenario. How could you ruin one of the most wonderful dogs alive by tainting them with Poodle blood!?! What is this world coming to?!?!?

Cockerpoos are nothing more then mixes. They are a mix that has been being bred for years now and still don't breed true, have no actual breed standard..nothing...they won't be accepted for registration in a legit registry any time in the near future.
They , like all other designer breeds, are simply over priced mutts..dogs that can take the good/bad from both breeds..dogs that have no actual distiguishing traits.
There are many in the shelters along with other "poo" mixes.

Cockapoos are a crossbreed between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. They are not a purebred dog, although there are many breeders out there attempting to develop a breed from them. For them to become a recognized breed from one of the many kennel clubs (AKC, UKC, IKC, etc.) they need to breed true to a standard for 6 to 8 generations.

Well mutts are good dogs too. I don't think of cockapoos as mutts but more like designer pets. Some of these aren't such a good idea though like Puggles, beagle/ pugs, which have alot of health problems. But so many people breed for a look instead of health :( Still I'm sure you little doggie is super cute and has a great personality so I don't think it matters that much whether it's considered a mutt or not.

really? i think they're still mutts. I have a maltipoo and am looking forward to getting more from the poo family, but I got my maltipoo for 6 hundred. Can I enter my pup into any shows?

LMAO!!!
They ARE MUTTS/MONGRELS!!!!

Just because there are plenty of IDIOTS who'd pay ANYTHING for a really stupid MUTT w/a "label" stuck on it by CROOKS does NOT make it any more than a MUTT/MONGREL!!!

***WHY*** would anybody be "proud" of being being SCAMMED???

LOL!!!
