I would strongly advise you to get a vocal coach. You do not want to damage your voice permanently.

I HOPE YOU SPEAK JAPENESE IF NOT THEN TAKE A CLASS OR READ JAPANESE FOR DUMMIES JUST TO GET THE PROUN. CORRECT. THERE IS ONE TECHNIQUE THEY USE IN THE TRAINING OF BREATHING AND VOCAL RANGE EXERCISE IN OPERA CLASSES YOU USE A REGULAR STRAW. YOU BREATHE THROUGH THE STRAW TAKING IN YOUR BREATH FROM THE LOWEST REGION OF YOUR ABDOMEN AND BLOW THROUGH THE STRAW LETTING OUT ALL OF YOUR AIR AS SLOW AND AS LONG AS YOU CAN. THIS WILL BUILD YOUR VOCAL CORDS AND INDURANCE OF HOLDING THE HIGH NOTES BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO TAKE THEM FROM THE CORRECT PLACE, NOT THE THROAT WERE MOST PEOPLE TRY TOO. I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO FIND A VOCAL COACH FROM A LOCAL PERFORMING ARTS THEATRE THEY CAN REFER YOU OR CALL PARK AND REC. THEY CAN ALSO REF. IF MONEY IS AN ISSUE. MY CHILDREN PERFORM IN LOCAL THEATRE AND SING/DANCE FOR LOCAL CHILDREN'S CHARITIES. I HAVE LEARNED THAT YOU CAN TAKE LESSON'S ONLY FOR ONE SONG OR PART WHICH IS LESS EXPENSIVE. THE BEST WAY IS RESEARCH DO YOUR OWN AND REFERRAL IS BEST. I HAVE NEVER HAD A LESSON AND I SING AT EVENTS FOR DIFFERENT REQUESTS FOR A CERTAIN VOICE TYPE I SING LIKE PATSY CLINE OR LEANNE WOMACK A COUNTRY ARTIST. SO I SAY IF YOU WANT TO SING THAT SONG GET A COACH AND GO FOR IT AND IF YOU DON'T SOUND EXACTLY LIKE HIM THAT'S OKAY!!! AT LEAST YOU TRIED!!! GOOD LUCK BREAK A LEG NOT A VOCAL CORD!!! LOL

Bad idea. I think you should choose a different song, or, if you really want that song, take voice lessons and practice every day. That won't be easy to do.
