Hi,
I have a masters in vocal performance and I promise you it is not..The reason they are called low and high is becuase they are in different keys. The accompaniment is played specific to those keys and designatd for each book. I'm happy to see you are using the right learning tools. Take care and sing well!

Do you mean the medium-low and the medium-high books? The ones whose first song is 'Alma Del Core' and last song is 'Vittoria, Mio Corre'...?
If so, then the answer is yes, they are the same......just in different keys.
