that would be the time I went to a "non-denominational" church, and for the first time in my life, witnessed "Slaying in the Spirit." I had not seen this on tv, or heard of it before, so this was a total shock to me. The people were just literally falling over, like they were knocked out cold, and I had no idea what was going on until it was explained to me after the service. That was scary.

Full Gospel... It was a regular Wednesday night service and i should mention that my church does not believe in being silent or quite about the word of God so all the members were shouting, singing and praising God. Then my Pastor started speaking in tongues then the whole church became silent and every head in the church dropped at the same exact time and every person in the church started saying the same prayer. All except for me, at that time in my life i was not living my life the way that i should of been. Well i start freaking out and I'm thinking in my head i have to get up and go to the bathroom just to get out of here. Then it was like a fog came threw the church to the front and then the preacher started saying stuff to people that i guess was meant to be told to them from God, I'm still freaking out and by this time i was actually getting scared so i try to get up and it was like someone was holding me down not that i felt anyone literally holding me down i just couldn't get up at all i couldn't move period so i just sat there silent and worried until finally about an hour later the service ended. That was defiantly God there is no other explanation but that. It was something that i would love now to be able to experience again. Needless to say that was about 4 years ago....

My friends and I once entered a small ordinary catholic church in Nogales, Mexico. The second we entered we all felt a very strong creepy, dark, pressure of sorts. We left the second we entered. After we left it felt as if we narrowly avoided something and were breathing hard as if the event took our breath away or we were running (we weren't). Visually the church seemed fine< there were even some worshipers. but that feeling was so intense we could stay at all.

I saw people drunken in the spirit one time and acting in a sort of hysterical manner...it was pretty scary...and I have not seen anything like before or since. It was at a non denominational church that had a sort of pentecostal flavor....but it seemed pretty weird to me....I have since seen people talk in tongues etc...but never something exactly like that.

When I was ex-communicated. I called the Pastor to find out what I had done, in the hopes of reconciling. He said he did not want to reconcile.
The very heart of religion is reconciliation between G-d & Man. As a result, I turned my back on Christianity & became Jewish.
The denomination is not of importance.

I've never experienced anything scary in church, unless you mean some of the outfits I've seen.

Long ago during the Christmas candlelight service, I saw a kid accidentally drop his candle on his mom's coat and it caught on fire very quickly (must have been flame retardant lol). That was pretty scary because her coat was between me and the door!
