What is the best hair spray that offers great hold instantly? I'm gonna be using brylcreem to make it look shiny and I have American Crew pomade for some hold....but for some certain occasions, I need to pull my hair and combed it straight back (like Italians). So I need a spray that can make my hair stay like that all day as soon as I comb it.

Pantene ANYTHING damages hair, I do not recommend it. It leaves horrible wax buildup on your hair. My favorite hairspray is biolage. It smells good, controls frizz, and doesn't leave your hair sticky or crunchy. Sebastian shaper spray is another good one, they even make a generic brand of this at wal-mart that is okay if you're on a budget. No matter what you use, if you're using alot of hairspray or other products, the buildup it can cause is damaging to hair. Use a clarifying shampoo (Paul Mitchell Shampoo 3 is good, and affordable) once a week and follow up with a deep conditioner. (I like biolage deep conditioning balm) Hope this was helpful!

Go to your local CVS- they carry what i call "hair glue" its FOCUS 21 "SPLASH" it comes in a black bottle with pink lettering. You literaly have to wet your hair with h2o and shampoo to be able to comb it again. This hair spray could hold up in a 60mph wind. It's the bomb.
